Samosa is said to have originated in the Middle East around the 10th Century. It was only in the 13th Century that Samosa was introduced to India. Earlier, It was served as a part of the meal that was served to the Sultans in the 13th-14th  century.  Then, Samosa is stuffed pasty was stuffed with meat, almonds, pistachios, walnuts and spices. It was in 16th century that the people of India (then Hindustan) started calling it SANBUSAH.

In India, SAMOSA is generally stuffed with a mixture of mashed Potato, Peas, Green Chillies, Garam Masala, etc.
