Food of the Gods – Theobroma Andheri

Their tagline says Food for the Gods!! I feel it rightly describes their brand. My first visit to Theobroma and I didn’t regret it even for a second.

Dessert cravings after lunch left no choice but to visit Theobroma looking for some lip smacking pastry’s. Theo has a variety of pastry’s on display and not the basic black forest or the fruit pastry’s, but some Sinful line of pastry’s that is a definite fit for the Gods.

Let’s see what came on the above plate….

Dutch Truffle:

IMG_20160822_142101The classic chocolate cake, filled with loads of chocolate. This truffle was soft in texture, decadent and moist chocolate cake. Rich melted chocolate in every bite. It was presented with 2 white chocolate ring. A good pastry to try…

Red Velvet:

Needs no introduction, as it has become the most favorite of all cake lovers around. My first Red velvet experience at Theobroma. The outer texture was that of white cream cheese. At first it looked like there’s no red velvet texture from outside as it was all white lying peacefully on display. It looked all traditional with the layers nicely topped on each other. Taste was very subtle. Not too sweet but the right amount of sweetness… Highly recommended…. A must try at Theobroma!!

Devils Mousse Cake:

It was an intense chocolate mousse cake made with chocolate mousse from head to toe. It is made of 0% flour and 100% chocolate mousse. The pastry is topped with dark chocolate or cocoa powder for a gentle bitterness. This is much sinful than others and a perfect match for the DeviL….

Zingy Lemon Tart:

Have seen a lot of tarts on television, cake shops, etc… But never felt the need to go ahead and try one. Got my hands on 1 today as the one on display at Theobroma was calling me. The tart had soft center and real good crust. The tart hits you with a mild zing from the lemon and leaves your pallette with a lemony flavor. A good variety amongst the chocolate world…

My first visit to Theobroma was a great and productive one, I must say… 🙂 But more to come and will definitely try each and every pastry on their display in the coming months….
